The Bitterroot Collective Impact's purpose is to provide the coordination of the diverse and mutually supporting expertise of the nonprofits of the Bitterroot Valley through the backbone organization of the Bitter Root Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc. The effectiveness and efficiency of the project's stakeholders operation will be improve through collaboration, group training, workshops and consultation.
Our Mission is to improve the capacity of the Bitterroot Valley nonprofit to provide their public service and thereby create large-scale social change and strengthen the overall Bitterroot Valley community.
We envision a Bitterroot Valley nonprofit community solving local issues with local resources, united through continuous communications and collectively applying each organizations individual expertise toward large-scale social change. The Bitterroot Valley will become the model for rural nonprofit collaboration in the State of Montana.
Each year Bitterroot Collective Impact will facilitate training on nonprofit governance, project planning, project evaluation, strategic and annual operational planning and financial management to 10 nonprofit organizations operating in the Bitterroot Valley. We will then followup with with the organizations at 6 months, 12 months and 24 months after the completion of the training to help sustain their efforts and adapt their plans to the changing operational environment.
